Why Yahushua the Messiah Had to Die

Why did Yahushua the Messiah have to die for our sins so that we could attain salvation and eternal life?

Many believe they know the answer and point to various passages in Scriptures to demonstrate their understanding of Yahweh’s truth.

For instance, a common answer is that Yahushua forgives and redeems us from our sins by shedding his blood as the perfect sacrifice. The Messiah now gives us grace or the free gift of salvation and eternal life.

The frequently referenced passage of Scriptures is from the book of John, which states:

For the deity so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

So, it would seem that having only faith to be saved is sufficient.

At this point, we still do not have an answer to why the Messiah had to die for our personal sins. This prompts us to engage in a deeper exploration of our trust and the Scriptures.

This particular study will concentrate on one of the crucial reasons for the Messiah’s death and how it benefits all mankind. Continue reading “Why Yahushua the Messiah Had to Die”

Why the Epistle to the Hebrews?

This Article presents an intriguing perspective on the reason and purpose of the Epistle to the Hebrews.

We understand that this Epistle was initially written in the 1st century C.E. for an audience of Jewish or Hebrew converts to Christianity who needed encouragement to maintain their trust in Yahushua the Messiah.

This Article intends to demonstrate that the Epistle’s message was prophetic and also directed to the Hebrews of the House of Israel (commonly referred to as the Lost Ten Tribes) long after the death and resurrection of Yahushua.

We will also demonstrate that the House of Israel would be located far from the biblical land of Judaea, speaking in a foreign language differing from Hebrew or Hebrew/Aramaic.

Due to time and circumstance, we are approaching, or have already reached, a crucial period for the elect audience within the House of Israel to hear and understand Yahweh’s doctrine of the Eternal Inheritance, an indispensable theme throughout all of Scriptures.

This study aims to uncover the key found in the Epistle to the Hebrews, allowing those who are truly seeking to grasp how Father Yahweh, by means of Yahushua the Messiah, enables mankind to acquire the gift of salvation and eternal life.

To begin our quest, we will first highlight three noteworthy details:

Rapture Revisited

YRR has released an audio Mini-Pod titled “Rapture Revisited”

Our first Rapture Podcast, “016. Rapture – Shortcut to Paradise?” dealt with the possibility of a Rapture from an Old Testament viewpoint. Unfortunately, for the Rapture advocates, the Old Testament did not produce any evidence demonstrating that one could bypass death and then proceed to Paradise or the third heavens.

We will continue our quest to see if we can find that ever-so-elusive “Shortcut to Paradise” by next delving into the New Testament.

This audio presentation can be accessed and listened to at the following link:

Rapture – Shortcut to Paradise?

YRR has released an audio Mini-Pod titled “Rapture – Shortcut to Paradise?”

Needless to say there are a number of people that want to circumvent the rules by avoiding scriptural truth and the reality that all must suffer death at least once.

There is a popular saying that you might have heard which goes something like this, “Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.”

First, the truth is that no person is going to heaven regardless of dying. The one exception is the person whose name and title is Yahushua the messiah. As all would know, his circumstances differed from the average person’s. (Another topic to be addressed at a later time.)

Second, all persons will, in fact, die before the Millennial Judgment Day whether they believe so or not. Even Yahushua had to submit to this reality.

Is there any merit to the idea that some select group of believers can actually take a shortcut to paradise by avoiding death?

Does Hell Exist? – Part 2

Quite opposite to the pagan notion of a conscious existence in a mythical underworld for immortal souls (whether Greek, Egyptian, Babylonian, etc.), there is no life or conscious existence in the sheol of Scriptures.

No Thought in Sheol
The following scriptural verses fully demonstrate the complete absence of thought in sheol:

Return Yahweh, rescue my nephesh; save me for your mercy’s sake; for there is no memory in death, in sheol who will give thanks to you? (Psalms 6:5)

What profit is in my blood in going down to the שוח (shuch; pit, grave); will you thank the ‘aphar? Will it (the ‘aphar) thank you? Will it declare your truth?(Psalms 30:9)

The above Psalms refer to the fact that after returning to the ‘aphar a dead person has no ability to thank anyone or receive thanks, for they are unable to speak or understand the speech of someone living. A parallel thought is expressed in the rhetorical question asked by Heman the Ezrahite. He notes that nothing can come from sheol, the land of נשיה (neshyah; oblivion)49 and the dark state of death. The Eternal Inheritance & Salvation – Pt. 2

In Eternal Inheritance & Salvation-Part 1, we discussed the legal mechanism of an inheritance promised to Abraham and his seed (Yahushua the messiah) that Yahweh utilizes to enable the saved of mankind to gain salvation and eternal life.

We will now direct our focus on discovering the actual promises that are contained in this inheritance. In other words, what can we inherit, and why is it so valuable?

Promises
These promises are specified in the book of Genesis.29 They include the promise to make Abraham a great nation, to make kings of his descendants (thus establishing the great nation as a kingdom), to give a blessing (which is eternal life),30 and to give a great name (i.e., the sacred name Yahweh).31

The Eternal Inheritance & Salvation – Pt. 1

Most modern-day Christians and those who proclaim to be followers of Yahweh seem to fall short when attempting to understand how the death of Yahushua the Messiah enables us to attain salvation and eternal life.

Many point to the basis for their understanding from one passage as given in the book of John:

For the deity so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

Numerous individuals understand this to mean that all one has to do is profess a belief or faith that Yahushua (Jesus) was the Messiah who was given to mankind by the father and that the Messiah has washed us from our sins by dying and shedding his blood for us whereby we can become saved and have eternal life.

In reality, if one were to base all of one’s faith only on this verse, it would be evident to the serious student of Scriptures that this type of faith would be more accurately defined as “blind faith.”

Passover & Water Baptism – Pt. 2

Previously, in Part 1 of our two-part series,
we provided the groundwork for our present examination of the facts regarding whether or
not water baptism is a prerequisite for the
partaking of the Passover meal.

Replaced by Water Baptism?
It is claimed that after Yahushua’s death and resurrection the requirement of fleshy circumcision especially for Passover was “replaced” by water baptism. To make this point, the following quote by Saul (Paul) is given:

Circumcision & Passover – Pt 1

There is a belief among some proclaimed followers of Yahweh that in order for men to partake of the Passover, they must first be circumcised of the flesh.

Fleshy circumcision is also held by some as a proof that Passover is not an actual Festival or Feast Day for the reason that the lack of circumcision would prevent individuals from participating in a required sacred day of Yahweh.

What do Scriptures actually say concerning this issue?

If you are interested in finding out the truth of the matter then it would be advantageous for you to continue with our investigation.

Before we can directly address the issue of circumcision as it relates to Passover we must first determine if Scriptures demand fleshy circumcision in order for men to be saved.

Usually two reasons are given by the advocates of circumcision:

• Abraham was circumcised and he was commanded to circumcise all the males of his household.

• Fleshly circumcision is required in the written Torah of Moses (Old Covenant).

Paul and Yahweh

Just who was the person in the New Testament named Paul (Hebrew: Saul)?

Wasn’t he the individual who was present at Stephen’s execution and consented to it?

Scriptures demonstrate clearly that the reason Stephen was murdered was because he had uttered the sacred name Yahweh, thereby committing blasphemy under Jewish law. (See Stephen and Yahweh)

There can be no doubt that Paul held to the “ineffable name” doctrine as espoused by the religious leaders of his day.

After Stephen’s death, did Paul have a change of heart regarding this “ineffable name” doctrine?

Stephen and Yahweh

In the book of Acts, Stephen was stoned to death for committing a serious breach of Jewish law.

Is there any evidence proving that the sacred name Yahweh was somehow involved with this infraction of Jewish law that led to Stephen’s murder?

Let us begin our investigation of Scriptures for the facts.

Do You Really Want To Go To Heaven?

Now that you have looked over our two previous posts “Do We Have A Soul” and “Immortal Soul Unmasked” we will now continue on to the final act of the “Heaven Trilogy” so to speak.

In other words, this is where we actually find out what going to heaven is all about.

So, if you’re ready let’s proceed onward, you just might discover some rather surprising facts along the way.

Immortal Soul Unmasked

In our last post, “Do I Have A Soul?”,  the issue of whether or not humans possess an immortal soul was addressed.

As we continue to search out the facts concerning this subject, we should realize that the first great deception was told by the serpent (the satan) to Eve when he advised her that if she ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil “you will not die (Gen. 3:1-5).”

1 Thessalonians
One of the major proofs offered in the New Testament for a rapture of saved individuals off the earth devoid of death is contained in 1 Thessalonians:

Which Torah To Keep?

Many professed followers of Yahweh believe they must keep the Torah to attain salvation and eternal life.

What is essential to recognize is that there is a general lack of understanding of the two Torahs described in the Scriptures. One is the “Torah of Trust,” and the other is the “Torah of Moses.”

It is vital to recognize that keeping the correct Torah leads to eternal life, and attempting to keep the wrong one would only reward a person with eternal death at the end of the Judgment Day.
