Rapture Revisited

YRR has released an audio Mini-Pod titled “Rapture Revisited”

Our first Rapture Podcast, “016. Rapture – Shortcut to Paradise?” dealt with the possibility of a Rapture from an Old Testament viewpoint. Unfortunately, for the Rapture advocates, the Old Testament did not produce any evidence demonstrating that one could bypass death and then proceed to Paradise or the third heavens.

We will continue our quest to see if we can find that ever-so-elusive “Shortcut to Paradise” by next delving into the New Testament.

Rapture – Shortcut to Paradise?

YRR has released an audio Mini-Pod titled “Rapture – Shortcut to Paradise?”

Needless to say there are a number of people that want to circumvent the rules by avoiding scriptural truth and the reality that all must suffer death at least once.

There is a popular saying that you might have heard which goes something like this, “Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.”

First, the truth is that no person is going to heaven regardless of dying. The one exception is the person whose name and title is Yahushua the messiah. As all would know, his circumstances differed from the average person’s. (Another topic to be addressed at a later time.)

Second, all persons will, in fact, die before the Millennial Judgment Day whether they believe so or not. Even Yahushua had to submit to this reality.

Is there any merit to the idea that some select group of believers can actually take a shortcut to paradise by avoiding death?

The Resurrections in Scriptures

We should be aware that Yahweh has predetermined much more for mankind than a simple existence as mortal, flesh-and-blood creatures. However, few are cognizant that his plan for mankind’s afterlife is predicated upon a resurrection from the dead. Indeed, in the book of Hebrews, the “resurrection of the dead” is declared to be one of the fundamental doctrines of Scriptures,1 one which is strongly proclaimed throughout both the Old and New Testaments.

Basic Doctrine
As previously stated, the doctrine of the resurrection of mankind from the dead is one of the fundamental themes found in Scriptures. To begin with, we are the work of Yahweh’s hands. Isaiah remarks:

And now Yahweh, you are our father; we are the clay and you are the maker, and we are the work of your hands. (Isaiah 64:7-8)

Yahweh’s intent for the work of his hands extends far beyond sheol (the state of death), even though the deceased person resting in sheol has reached a state of temporary nonexistence. Continue reading “The Resurrections in Scriptures”

Three Heavens in Scriptures

We will examine the fact that in Scriptures, there are three regions of רקיע (raqiya; open expanse),1 i.e., different realms, each called “heavens.”

Father Yahweh dwells in what is defined as the “third heavens,” the sun, moon, and stars occupy the “second heavens,” and flying birds and clouds are contained in the “first heavens” (i.e., in the atmosphere surrounding the earth).

The evidence will prove that no man—with only the exception of Yahushua the messiah, and then only in those periods before and after his fleshly, earthly existence as a human—has ever dwelt in the third heavens with father Yahweh.

The fundamental error made by those who would have mortal humans go off to heaven to be with father Yahweh before death, resurrection, and quickening is their confounding of the three different realms called “heavens.” Continue reading “Three Heavens in Scriptures”

The Inheritance & Salvation- Part 2

In The Inheritance & Salvation-Part 1 we discussed the legal mechanism of an inheritance promised to Abraham and his seed (Yahushua the messiah) that is utilized by Yahweh to enable the saved of mankind to gain salvation and eternal life.

We will now direct our focus on discovering the actual promises that are contained in this inheritance. In other words, Just what can we inherit and why is it so valuable?

Promises
These promises are specified in the book of Genesis.29 They include the promise to make Abraham a great nation, to make kings of his descendants (thus establishing the great nation as a kingdom), to give a blessing (which is eternal life),30 and to give a great name (i.e., the sacred name Yahweh).31

Do You Really Want To Go To Heaven?

Now that you have looked over our two previous posts “Do I have A Soul” and “Immortal Soul Unmasked” we will now continue on to the final act of the “Heaven Trilogy” so to speak.

In other words, this is where we actually find out what going to heaven is all about.

So, if you’re ready let’s proceed onward, you just might discover some rather surprising facts along the way.

Immortal Soul Unmasked

In our last post, “Do I Have A Soul?”,  the issue of whether or not humans possess an immortal soul was addressed.

As we continue to search out the facts concerning this subject, we should realize that the first great deception was told by the serpent (the satan) to Eve when he advised her that if she ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil “you will not die (Gen. 3:1-5).”

Do We Have A Soul?

It is recognized that most of us have been taught from our early years that we all have an immortal soul. Then upon death, our soul would ultimately end up spending eternity in either heaven or hell, depending on what Saint Peter decided at the Pearly Gates.

Unbeknownst to many, Scriptures give an entirely different scenario.

One of the major proofs offered in the New Testament for a rapture of saved individuals off the earth devoid of death is contained in 1 Thessalonians:

Grace. A Free Ticket? – Part 2

Now that you’ve read Part 1, one might still be wondering if that “free ticket” to salvation is as good as it seemed to be. If any doubts linger, it is highly suggested that you proceed onward with Part 2 of our investigation.

Scriptures indicate that our inheritance cannot be obtained without a sinless sacrifice. The process required that father Yahweh give Yahu Yahweh all things, even his sacred name, and then Yahu, in turn, would pass on these things as an inheritance in a conditional will.

Genesis 26:1-5, confirms that the covenant with Abraham was conditional when it reports that Yahweh told Isaak that he would fulfill the promises, “BECAUSE Abraham listened to my voice and obeyed my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

Yet even Abraham was a sinner, for all have sinned. He, like the rest of us, must come into the Eternal Inheritance by grace and by means of the messiah.

Torah of Moses Brings Curse
Further requirements were attached to the promises given to Abraham because of transgression (Gal. 3:18-19). These conditions were given in the form of the Torah of Moses or Old Covenant made at Mount Sinai and the “works of the Law (Torah)” which were added thereto (Rom. 9:32; Gal. 2:16, 3:2, 5, 10), i.e., as found in the books of the Torah. The covenant at Mount Sinai and works of the Torah did two things:

Grace. A Free Ticket? – Part 1

In our two previous posts, “The Law and Paul’s Explanation,” Part 1 and Part 2, the details were laid out regarding the Torah of Moses (the Law, Old Covenant) and its relationship to the Abrahamic Covenants of Promise.

Additionally, Paul, in the New Testament seems to stress the concept of grace and that we are no longer under “the Law.”

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law (Torah of Moses), but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? The deity forbid. (Romans 6:14-15)

Does grace provide a free ticket to salvation?

If you’re not sure about the answer, how about we proceed to investigate the truth of the matter.

The Millennial Judgment Day

It is apparent that there seems to be a widespread misunderstanding of the events occurring after Yahushua the messiah’s death that lead up to the earthly arrival of father Yahweh.

The sequence of events expounded by many goes something like this:

• Just before the return of Yahushua the messiah there will take place a period of time called the Great Tribulation.

Sabbath or Sunday Resurrection? Pt 2

Assisting us in putting together the various facts pointing to Yahushua’s resurrection on the first day of the week (Sunday) is the important story found in Luke 24.

After giving the account of the women coming to the tomb of Yahushua on the first day of the week, just before daybreak, and finding the tomb empty (vs. 1-8), it continues by saying that the women immediately went to the apostles and other disciples to report their findings (vs. 9-10).

These people disbelieved the women, but Keph (Peter) rose up and went to the tomb to see for himself. Finding their testimony true, he returned home wondering about what had happened (vs. 11-12).

Sabbath or Sunday Resurrection? Pt 1

The general position of many present-day followers of Yahweh is that Yahushua the messiah was resurrected on the seventh-day Sabbath.

For them, it seems that the idea of the messiah being resurrected on the first day of the week (Sunday), which would also coincide with the Christian holiday of Easter, is just too repugnant to consider.

Besides, even the term Christian is offensive to many of these individuals. Point to the Roman Catholic Church for most of the blame, and now you’re on the way to creating a more volatile situation!

Is it actually possible to determine the exact day of the week on which Yahushua the messiah was resurrected?

When all of the evidence is thoroughly considered, this study will provide proof that will demonstrate that the actual day of Yahushua’s resurrection is fully attainable.

Jonah
First, Yahushua tells the scribes and Pharisees that the only sign of his messiahship that would be given to an evil and adulterous generation is “the sign of Jonah the prophet.”

For even as the prophet Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so will the son of man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. (Matthew 12:38-40; see Luke 11:29-30)
