Trust or Faith?

This question confronts a troubling observation—why do so many, from clergy to laity, falter in their spiritual pursuits? Today, we’ll examine this through the lens of Scriptures, challenging common assumptions and seeking a clearer path forward.

Many assert they possess faith—a conviction that religious truths hold because their hearts affirm them. This notion, often termed “blind faith,” posits that truth resides within, emerging from emotions or personal conviction. It’s a widely held principle across religions: truth is an internal discovery, rooted in the heart, the mind, or the depths of human feeling.

Yet, the Scriptures present a starkly different perspective. They assert that authentic truth does not originate within us. The human heart and mind, prone to error, sin, and deception, cannot be its source. Rather, truth is external—revealed through Yahweh’s divine word. It is trust in Yahweh, not subjective belief, that guides us to what is ultimately true.

Trust or Faith?
Why do so many among the clergy and laity falter in their spiritual journeys? Many people claim to have faith—a belief that certain religious truths or principles are valid simply because their hearts tell them so. This “blind faith” suggests that the truth lies deep within, emerging from their feelings and inner convictions. It is a central tenet in many of the world’s religions: that truth is found within oneself, in the heart, mind, or emotions.

However, Scriptures teach a different path. They declare that genuine truth does not originate from the human heart or mind, which is often prone to error, sin, and deception. Instead, true wisdom and understanding must be sought outside ourselves, in Yahweh’s divine revelation and guidance. No Worry. Yahweh Knows What’s In My Heart!

In the past, communication had been made with some leaders and teachers of several Sacred Name Groups, and there happened to occur a discussion regarding the importance of keeping the commanded Festival Days of Yahweh.

It was pointed out during this discussion that scriptural logic dictates that if Yahweh has instructed us to keep his Festival Days, then he would provide us with the instructions for keeping them correctly.

This is a reasonable assumption on our part unless, of course, Yahweh likes being entertained by the masses of confused people wandering hopelessly in search of his truth, which would lead to their salvation and eternal life.

Yahweh Prepping 101

So you think you’re prepped and ready to go. You may be prepared to survive a doomsday scenario by making sure you are stocked adequately with food and ammo, but that’s not actually the important prepping.

In reality, the essential prepping is for one to be prepared to do Yahweh’s work. This means you got a job to do, and if you are a teacher of Yahweh’s assemblies, it would be helpful if you knew what your job was.

Sad to say, based upon what’s being taught by the leaders of the various Sacred Name groups today, there just doesn’t seem to be many teachers who actually know what their job should be. Some think they are doing their job but, unfortunately, are not prepped with enough of Yahweh’s truth to get the job done.
