Do You Really Want To Go To Heaven?

Now that you have looked over our two previous posts “Do I have A Soul” and “Immortal Soul Unmasked” we will now continue on to the final act of the “Heaven Trilogy” so to speak.

In other words, this is where we actually find out what going to heaven is all about.

So, if you’re ready let’s proceed onward, you just might discover some rather surprising facts along the way.

From our two earlier posts we recognize that the “immortal soul” and “righteous-go-to-heaven” doctrines were well established in modern Christianity by the mid-fourth century C.E.

The Immortal Soul Deception
In the works of Augustine (late fourth century C.E.), for example, a belief in the resurrection of the flesh was still prevalent, but the soul was now “immortal” and, after reuniting with the flesh at the resurrection, the believers went to heaven.

Also the philosophies of Plato and other pagan Greek writers were now being held in high esteem. Today, the righteous-go-to-heaven creed is found proclaimed by numerous modern-Christian denominations with many ignoring the resurrection of the dead altogether!

It is important to know that, according to Scriptures, it is Satan who “misleads the whole world (Rev. 12:9).”

Nevertheless, few realize the great depths of this deception.

Worshiping Demons
When men worship idols and follow pagan religions they are actually worshiping demons and are following demonic doctrines (1 Cor. 10:19-21; 1 Tim. 4:1; Rev. 9:20). All along, it is Satan who is the leader (prince) of these demons (Matt. 12:24; John 12:31).

Therefore, when men follow pagan philosophies and doctrines they are, in reality, following Satan. Yet, almost all forget that the first deception and lie told by Satan was that Adam and Eve could not die; that is, he led them to believe that they were like those of the eloahim, immortal.

Now consider the basic concepts of most of the world’s pagan religions. They are based upon the notion that men have immortal souls. If evil, these immortal souls are condemned to an existence of eternal torment in either hell or a hades-like underworld. If good, they go off to a heavenly Paradise.

Furthermore, only demons (evil spirit beings, fallen angels) can possess different bodies in different periods of history and thereby give the illusion of “soul transmigration” (i.e., reincarnation).

The very fact that numerous pagan (demonic) religions profess the very same teachings that are also espoused as truth by so many Jewish, modern-Christian, and Islamic groups should have raised a warning flag.

Desires of Fallen Angels
Close examination of these satanic views reveal that, rather than informing us of mankind’s condition, what the demonic religions teach is, in fact, the circumstance and desires of fallen angels.

For example, angels, in their present condition, are the only created beings that are presently capable of not dying (i.e., being an immortal soul), not men (Luke 20:36).

The pagan notion of hades as an underworld of living immortal souls that are being judged is actually a form of tartaros, the angel prison where sinning angels are being restrained until their Judgment (Jude 1:6-7; 1 Cor. 6:2-3.). Only these sinning angels are capable of remaining conscious in an underworld while suffering a punishment lasting for a world-age.

Note that sinning angels will suffer the punishment of death only once, and then will perish eternally. Wicked humans, on the other hand, will suffer a second death before they will eternally cease to exist.

Sinning Angels Not Wanting to Die
Sinning angels also do not wish to die; so in their view of the world and seeing themselves as immortal, no one ever really perishes.

Additionally, sinning angels will not be found on the future renewed earth with its renewed heavens (i.e., the atmosphere surrounding the renewed earth) for two reasons.

First, the coming world will not be subject to angels (Heb. 2:5), and, second, only the righteous from among both men and angels will be left alive in order to dwell in Renewed Jerusalem. Therefore, only the righteous will enjoy the renewed earth and first heavens (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:27).

Where, then, will these sinning immortal angels go? After being released from tartaros, Yahweh will change their form and they will lose their immortality. Then, afterward, they will be destroyed in the gehenna fire.

Satan’s Lie
Ironically, the chief satan is described in Isaiah 14:12-14, as desirous of “going up into the heavens” and raising his own throne above “the stars of el.” Therefore, he teaches men that they are immortal souls and that they too should desire to go to heaven.

Yet, after his several acts of rebellion, the chief satan will himself “be brought down to sheol (Isa. 14:15).” This malevolent being can only go to sheol if he has been changed into a physical form that is mortal. It is after his death, when sheol itself is destroyed, that he will forever perish in the gehenna fire (Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10, 14).

As a result, the chief satan and his demons, being the founders of pagan religions, are trying to deceive mankind into believing in those things that actually speak of their own wants, desires, and condition. They wish to seize the third heavens and bring those of mankind into a gehenna fire.

It is actually the fate of sinning angels to be imprisoned in an underworld of conscious beings (i.e., as immortal souls)! This is not the fate of mankind.

Sinning angels also seek to inherit a place of existence in the outer heavens while continuing to live eternally. Therefore, they wish to reenter the third heavens, having never died (i.e., the concept of immortal souls).

Mankind Resurrected From Death
According to Scriptures, on the other hand, the pious of mankind know that they will die. Their hope is in an earthly resurrection and their effort is to seek to “inherit the land (earth).” (See 1 Cor. 15:16-19; Ps. 37:11; Matt. 5:5)

To believe in the false doctrines of an immortal soul for present-day humans or that the righteous, upon their death, will go up to heaven to live is to abandon sound scriptural teaching. This pagan belief system not only ignores the hope in the resurrection of mankind but abandons the true path to eternal life, one which Yahweh promised.

The way spoken of in Scriptures is given by means of a promise of an eternal inheritance, and it is directly connected with the eternal possession of the Promised Land.

The demonic doctrines that are professed by numerous religious traditions, having no basis in Scriptures, demonstrates why Yahweh and his messiah were so adamant in their condemnation of such practices.

Summary
There is no escaping the fact that religious traditions which are devised by men and inspired by demons are worthless!

Ultimately, our trust and hope can only rest on Yahweh’s words and the traditions that are clearly set forth in the Scriptures.

After coming to the truth of the matter, the following question is now asked:

“Do you really want to go to heaven?”

  1. Profound! This is antithetical to the way I was taught. where do I learn more?

    1. Hi Nightingale,

Just keep tuned in on all the Ranger’s future posts and you will be just fine in learning more about Yahweh’s truth.

  2. Yahu Ranger,

Keep them coming. You can tell that many people are starving for truth.

  3. Truly wonderful words! This message is so true.

Yahushua clearly said, “I am moving on and you will seek me and you will die in your sins, and where I am going, you cannot come.”

“And have made us unto our ‘Elohiym a kingdom and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

I love to see those that really follow Yahweh. I feel that I’m in a vast wilderness because to this day I’ve never met another in person that worships Yahweh in truth.
